LOOKING BOLDLY TO THE FUTURE ESTA ROHR GMBH SUCCESSFULLY MANUFACTURED ITS FIRST STAINLESS STEEL PIPES FOR STRUCTURAL APPLICATIONS 40 YEARS AGO.
The year is 1980, Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall is playing almost continuously on the radio and West Germany wins the UEFA European Football Championship finals with a 2-1 victory over Belgium. That same year Chancellor Helmut Schmidt announces the "Looking boldly to the future" maxim in a government statement. A sentence that is met with an open ear both in the Bundestag and among the population.
What an encouraging similarity. Looking boldly to the future Esta Rohr GmbH successfully manufactured its first stainless steel pipes for structural applications 40 years ago on a TIG welding line. In the meantime, laser beam welding has completely replaced the old arc methods in stainless steel pipe production – and new next-generation technologies are in the pipeline.
We now manufacture more than just structural pipes. A piece of Esta can be found in every Ford Fiesta. The same applies to models from Mercedes, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Audi, and various platform derivatives. simplesta® has enabled Esta Rohr to gain a strong foothold in the stainless steel system supplier marketplace. And the millions of door and window handles produced with our stainless steel pipes mean you will certainly have taken hold of a pipe from Esta Rohr at some point.
